The World Sonata Project 2022: Violin is a consortium commission, resulting in PEARL, a new violin sonata in three movements that uses the materials of the violin itself as impetus for its subject matter to honor the things we as an artistic community have gleaned from our wilderness and learned how to make music from. This new work will be commissioned by artists from many of the 50 states, and several countries and Canadian provinces.
