World Sonata Project

The World Sonata Project: Cello is a consortium commission, resulting in a new cello sonata in three movements arriving later this year that uses the materials of the cello itself as impetus for its subject matter so that, in this very important year for humanity and its relationship with the earth, we may as artists help our communities focus on gratitude; pay homage to the things we as an artistic community have gleaned from our wilderness and learned how to make music from. This new work will be commissioned by artists from many of the 50 states, and several countries and Canadian provinces.
