PROGRAM NOTE.

PANORAMA is a work for piano trio that describes the eternally changing painting of Colorado horizons; its permanent flow between dawn, noon, dusk, and the nighttime skyscape. The work begins in the blackness of Dawn as colors creep up over the horizon, then it transitions into a riotous and sweltering High Noon which eventually gives way to a somber-ing, hushed dusk, followed by a magical, sparkling starscape as midnight—Zero Hour—falls.

Thank you to Seth Boustead, for being such an inspiration to me and for endlessly championing my voice, to Will Rowe for being my Michigan buddy in NYC and for being such a dark horse of a cellist, and to Ariana Cappon and Sophie Moon for giving such a truly gorgeous premiere to this work.
