Aleksandra Dimitrievska

Guided by pure curiosity, Aleksandra Dimitrievska began studying the violin at age of 9. In 2002 graduates on the Faculty of Music in Skopje and in 2006 finishes the master degree. During her education she participated in national and international competitions and won many prizes in violin and chamber music.  She has also participated in numerous masterclasses and seminars by violinists such as B. Dimchevski, Cornelia Bronzeti, Liviu Prunari, Kris Duindam, and many more. During her education she participated in the Macedonian Musical Youth orchestra, Bitola's chamber orchestra, Soloists of FMU and many others with whom she has performed in Macedonia and abroad (Greece, Germany).

In her professional career constantly she expresses herself as a performer and as a teacher. Besides her professional occupation in the orchestra of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet, she is a part time teacher in the State musical and Ballet educational center in Skopje, founder and member of the chamber orchestra Skopje Ladies Orchestra, ensemble Cordeti (with her husband trumpeter Jordan Kolevski) and just member in many other chamber orchestras. Her wide interest in music reveals different roles also as concert producer, writer, music books reviewer, arranger and children's song composer. Still besides all these previously mentioned, nowadays she finds herself the happiest as a Suzuki teacher. In 2004 she visited for the first time the Suzuki association of Croatia for an informational presentation. Later she started her training under the mentorship of Jeanne Janssens from Belgium, her training taking place in Belgium and Croatia. In 2009 she became the first certified Suzuki teacher from Macedonia. Being a person with great affection and love towards children she works with great enthusiasm on bringing all the benefits of Suzuki method for the children in Macedonia and establishing the Suzuki method in her country.
