Celia Zhang

Celia Zhang, current a student of Syoko Aki, is a graduate of the Juilliard School and the Yale School of Music, where she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, respectively. She has spent many summers attending the Aspen Music Festival and School, as well as the Great Wall Academy and the Great Mountain Music Festival and School. Having given performances throughout the United States, China, Austria and Korea, she is an advocate of traditional and contemporary classical music, having recently been named the Connecticut representative of Stephanie Ann Boyd’s 50 State Sonata Project. Celia is also an active member of the music outreach community through the Music In Schools Initiative, partnering graduate students of the Yale School of Music with the music programs in New Haven Public Schools. Additionally, she is the Co-Director of the String Orchestra of the All-City Honors Ensemble, as well as a Teaching Artist at the Morse Summer Music Academy. Her Master’s Degree graduation recital will be held on March 11, 2016 at 4:30, Sprague Hall in New Haven, CT.
